Despite being linked with a move to Madrid Eden Hazard said he see could see himself finishing his career at Chelsea |
For most of the summer Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been linked with swapping Chelsea's blue with the famous whites of Real Madrid and even despite the Londoners slapping a £ 200 m transfer fee to keep Madrid away, speculation about the Belgian making his way to the Spanish capital refuses to go away.
This has been down to Hazard expressing his desire to play in the famous colours of Los Blancos and the fact that he is yet to sign a contract extension at Chelsea with the current one set to run out by 2020.
However, Chelsea are set to offer Hazard a new contract which is expected to run another five years and would be in the region above £ 300 000 per week. Chelsea hope to wrap up contract talks with Hazard after previously sitting down with the Belgian for contract talks last December. Despite there being no news there it seems Hazard is not so certain about leaving Chelsea.
According to the Evening Standard, Hazard expressed his desire to stay at Stamford Bridge and said he could definitely see himself spending the rest of his career with the Blues, provided that Real Madrid are no longer interested in making a move for him in the near future.
"I can finish with Chelsea, no problem at all. I am very happy with this club, with the team, my family is happy here.
"So If I don't go to Spain, it is not a problem. I love the fans - I think the fans love me! What happens in the future, I will be happy, so that's it."
